With watercolors, I'll sometimes do very vague outlines just to get a general feel of where things will be, but I rarely do details. I don't like a lot of pencil on the paper, since it can muddy up the paint. Usually, I'll use a yellow colored pencil instead of a regular graphite. The yellow is light, and since the first colors I lay down are usually the yellows, the outlines blend in well with the paint.
