The tree of life

Trees have a very mythic quality to me. They're ancient, sturdy, and providing.

I had this concept in my head for a while. At first I wasn't sure about the colors, but in the end, I like them. It reminds me of a painting I did (WAY back in high school) of tadpoles in their eggs.

There is something very organic and biological about this painting; which is exactly what I intended.

Thank you!
It's a joy to hear I can pass the inspiration.
I always get that painting itch whenever I go through galleries :D

Yes indeed. It´s really organic. It is so vivid, that one can almost see the "blood pumping through the veins" of the tree. A wonderful piece. :)

I'm impressed. Everyone else has already mentioned the things I like best: the glowing quality the veins, the use of color, etc. I'll point out one tiny detail that jumped at me, I really love the way the signature is done in such a way that it feels like part of the image rather than a label slapped on after the fact.

Why thank you! :D
I try to keep it inconspicuous, yet visible.
Very original comment! Well done!
