~watercolor~2009~

The cat was a washy doodle done over a year ago. Recently, I stumbled upon the paper and decided to finish it up. This really had no specific direction it was going in. I'm satisfied with the final product.

Or, maybe I'll paint in a border. opinions?

That cat looks great! love how it's fur is standing on end :D Really great vines too!
I like it without a border but as its a halloween piece, maybe it could be with looking a little darker and if you put a darker border around it maybe that would help?

aww poor cat!
I think it looks fine without border, but then it might also look good with a border :)

It looks like you already have a border! I like the way that looks, and love the Jack-o-lantern!

The cat looks awesome, but I really love the jack-o-lantern. He looks very snarky and ready to bite. ^^ The border would be welcome, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary that you have one.

I've rarely seen a rendering or capture of a cat with its face not showing yet expressing so clearly with sheer body language... masterfully conveyed :)

Love the colors and especially the cat. XD A border would be nice, but not needed. Beautiful work. :D

I love the wash on the cat. However, I don't know if you should add a border or not. I like the different angles juxtaposed with the border of the paper and the slanted box inside. But, I don't know if a border could add to it or not.

On another note, I'm also not so fond of the pumpkin-painting in the slanted box area. I dunno...it just seems to detract from the cat. Maybe it's just me. As long as you like it, it's all good. But I LOVE the purr-purr!!!

Lovely effect with the watercolours you have there on the cat! you have conveyed the fur and the cats form really well!

 thanks!
Yeah, I think a darker border might look even better...hmmm...
